The Peoples Project : A Live Music Experience

As of recent, because of senseless acts of violence and racial tension it has been difficult to bring positivity and nightlife together. Take Back Our Streets has found this to be an opportunity to invite community organizations into spaces that Oaklands’ black and brown residents often patronize to enjoy themselves and have a good time. To further remedy the problems we face, we intend to implement “The Peoples Project: A Live Music Experience, Where Community meets Art & Entertainment”, which is a safe space solution to solving some of the issues that reside where positivity and nightlife should meet. We aim to create a safe space that welcomes Oaklands’ millennial leaders in the trenches fighting for vulnerable communities of color and local artisans fighting to preserve art culture.

We at Take Back Our Streets recognize the importance of the fight yet, see the need for self care. We host this night in honor and celebration of our leaders, come celebrate with us and observe self care through live music, good times and good people.
